TPI fuel system

I'm posting this here again because nobody ever responds to my questions in the motor swap section.
Ok I'm in the process of swapping a TPI into a TBI car. Last weekend I changed the fuel pump. The new TPI fuel pump looked exactly like the old TBI fuel pump so all I did was swap them. I didn't change the sending unit because everything fit right up. Will this work? Also the fuel lines on the TPI fit right up to where the old TBI lines were on the drivers side of the motor, so I hooked them up. My friend has a TPI car and the fuel lines look exactly the same as the ones on mine. If thats the case, why is everyone changing them. I don't feel like pulling the rear and gas tank back out of the car again because it was a big pita the first time. I don't have the motor running yet because I'm waiting for my wiring harness to come back from Howell.
So again, my questions are; Will the new fuel pump work in the old sending unit? Can I use my old fuel lines? Are the fuel lines that come out of the gas tank on a TBI sending unit sufficient for a TPI?
Thanks

yea it'll work
fare as fuel line from the tank, go under both car and measure the diameters....I'd say if your not planing on running big hp ( like 500) I wouldn't worry about it
