computer for tpi

i got a 89 iroc 5.7 and i got a hold of a computer from a 88 trans am 350 thats has a chip and was sent back and speed up by gm is this better then putting a chip in the 89 computer i heard that the 89 is better then an 88 for some reason ??????????

i don't think you can do that?an 1988 TPI intake has a clod start injector,in 1989 GM did away with that cold start injector.i could be wrong but i don't think you can do it
anyone else?

yea you can
89 uses your injectors as fuel enrichement, and the program is in the chip... that's all...88 and under us the 9th injector, which is connected to the temp sensor ONLY and is on for I belive the first 12 second, or until the engine richs 150...I did away with my 9th injector on my 85 because of my SLP runner...don't have any problem what so ever..
