bad ignition module?

I had an MSD 6al box on my car for years but unhooked it after installing a new engine. After reinstalling it last nite my car would'nt even idle. I rechecked the wiring then removed it. Now it idles iradictly and has a bad miss while driving without the msd. I have a scanner but havent used it yet so any help will be apreciated.

First, give me your T-ram!
I doubt its the module. Since you did a whole engine swap theres a million things to check. First and formost, check the plug wires again. Sounds like two could be crossed. If thats not it check ground wires (loose grounds play hell with computers), then reset the IAC and TPS.
If you think the module may be bad, take it to an autoparts store, they can test them.
