Coolant fan switch sensor disconnected

When I was putting my headers on I guess I broke the connecter to the fan switch sensor(the one on the head on the passenger side). I have left it disconnected, my temperature guage doesn't work, is this bad at all for my car. I have yet to have the SES light or check engine light to come on. Where can I get a new connecter for the sensor? Could I just buy a hypertech or jet fan switch to fix it(do they come with a new connecter or just a sensor)?

I could be wrong but I don't think the Fan Switch is going to make your gauge stop working! The gauge sending unit is in the head on the DRIVERS side and controls the temp gauge in the car! The sensor in the head on the PASSENGER side just controls when the fan kicks on and off! Check the sensor in the DRIVERS side head and make sure you didn't break that one too or that the wire didn't come loose!! Mine comes off sometimes while changing spark plugs so that's likely!

As far as replacing the connector for the fan switch! Next Gen Parts sells lots of connectors! Take a look at www.nextgenparts.com to see if they have what you need!!

Dont buy any connectors. I go to the local junkyard with wire snips in hand and go to work on the GM cars.
