Port the SLP runner all the way, top and bottom, just remove as much as you can, the whole wall if possible. Don't be scared, you WON'T lose any torque. I have the runners on my 350 this way and there was no torque loss at all. Base wise, you might want to consider sending it to be extrude honed along with the runners (after you are done butchering them to smooth out the walls). It's supposed to be the best porting available.
You might want to consider the Miniram if you haven't bought anything yet.
One thing, stay away from a 58mm TB unless you really are making some 400 horses or more. This is the ONLY part that I have ever put in my car that actually lower my et and made the car feel like it was hauling a trailer fully loaded.
