Which Fuel Pump Should I Use / El Camino
Putting a TPI 350 into an 87 El Camino, need to know which fuel pump to use?
Frame mount?
Change gas tank?
Thanks,
Dave

All depends on your preference. A frame mounted pump is easy to upgrade or replace, but they're kinda noisy. Finding a baffled tank with the intank pump (Regal, Monte) and sender might prove costly although since you dont have a spare tire well there's supposedly a mid 80's Caddy tank that'll work.

Which frame mounted pump do you like?
It's a pretty stout 350 with 30lb injectors.

I was using the Accel pump for a while. Well... what they sell is a Bosch pump, thats for a mid 80's Porsche 928 with the outlet fitting already tapped for a NPT thread. It was a little noisy. I have an intank now, from a Turbo Buick. Some kind of high flow Walbro in there. Seems to be keeping up with my 30's just fine.
