will newer model vortech heads work on a 350 tpi motor???

Yes but you need to get the Scroggin Dicky TPI Vortec intake manifold.

 

scoggin dicky vortech TPI base will run u 400$.... could use some porting if u want more HP, and u need the remote EGR tube etc.... not sure wat that will cost u, vortech intake gaskets, vortech intake bolt kit

All the information you could want and more. You can sometimes find these manifolds for less than $200-250 on either the Classifieds, Craigslist, or Ebay.

the head doesnt have an EGR port casted into the head, they block it off like most popular aftermarket heads, the stock heads and sum aftermarket heads have this port which utalizes the EGR under the TPI plenum that recirculated the gases crank, valve cover gasses etc back into the engine to be burned for a cleaner emissons... the vortech heads dont have this and require a special metal tube that plums the EGR gases so that the head/vortech baseplate can be emissions legal. look at scoggin dickey etc they have pics of the tube i believe.
