I am putting in a 355 Speed Density TPI motor into my Camaro. Here is my ram air idea:

1. Run aluminum flex pipe from front grills to air box.
2. Gut the air box.
3. Don't put air filters in the box.
4. Attach one of those cone air filters (look in the TPI section of the Jeg's catalog), leaving the stock tube that runs from the air box to the throttle body.

Will this work? How beneficial would this be? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I would tend to think that you would get a greater 'ram air' effect with 2 filers. this way each one only has to filter half of the air and it could flow more freely. Doug
