vette aluminum heads on camaro L98??

I have a '92 L98 which I'm planning to bolt on stock corvette L98 aluminum heads to. The vette heads don't have EGR passages. Will a stock camaro intake work or do I need a vette intake or aftermarket one? Are there any other little quirks that I need to be aware of when bolting these heads on?

The Camaro base will work, as long as you don't expect to have a working EGR.

yea that they dont flow much better than the stock l98 heads lol.... they are better and the weight savings is good but the only real way to get any power outa them would be to port them.

this is when i would upgrade the base to an aftermarket like the TPIS bigmouth etc since you have it all apart and to get full advantage of the heads

Please do a search for "Corvette L98 heads" or "ZZ4 heads". I have posted many times my experiences with these heads on my engine for the last 5 years.

Re: vette aluminum heads on camaro L98??

I just put a pair of corvette heads on my L98 this past summer. I bought a used corvette intake manifold off of eBay. I found the car ran much better with the egr connected and fuel mileage was about 2mpg better. I pocket ported the heads, removed the block cast into the combustion chamber, and had the valve seats cut for a 2 inch intake and 1.60 exhaust valve, both with a three angle cut. The power increase over the stock cast iron heads is incredible. The weight savings made the car handle better too.
