Too much torque, would an under the hood brace help?

I've noticed in alot of pictures on the board that there are braces inside the engine compartment that cross over the tpi plenum. What is the purpose of these things and if I was to buy one, which would look/work the best?

My car flexes like a girl without abra.
I'd love to get an underhood brace, BUT, with the V-6s, it's difficult. The intake is in the wrong position.

Well actually the strut tower brcae sold by companies like (Kenny Brown,Edelbrock, and hotchkis) All are products that are aimed at giving the chassis a lil more hold...In this case the strut tower brace is used to keep the front end from twisting and turning the front end frame so that The Front wheels will make more contact into the turns.....With the Sub Frame Connectors these are more geared towards Frame rigidity so that there's no twisting and bending of the frame during acceleration or turning....With Sub Fram connectors at certain angles of driveways you can take a wheel off the ground at a certain angle....Also You should'nt hear creaks and rattles when going up inclined angles.....
