New Heads and Cam for L98??

It seems that I'll get the most gain from a new set of heads and cam. The most experience I have with working on engines is from the intake up. I've never swapped heads or a cam. What is the best deal on heads and cam for a L98? What else needs replaced in the process?

It all depends on how much you want to spend. I would recomend a cam from GMPP, they have better prices than companies like SLP, TPIS, LPE, Comp and Crane. I would go with either the ZZ4 cam or the LT4 HOT cam, both cams are sold for well under $200 from www.gmpartsdirect.com. You can look at lots of different heads. There are less expensive ones from Edelbrock, Trick Flow and World Products, those ones usually sell for less that or just about $1000 for both complete heads. If you have a deeper wallet, you can look at heads from Airflow Research and Brodix. I personally would recomend a set of AFR 190s, they will cost close to $1500 though.
