zz4 tpi
zz4 tpi
what spark plugs and brand should i use on a zz4 with 8k miles. Also has anyone else used the stock tpi intake ported with a zz4. How much hp and tq do you think it is pulling and any quarter mile times. Also if anyone could help me with any suggestions on improving the tpi intake and the motor without blowing a fortune , thanks a lot and also if someone with zz4 could tell me any cars they have raced on the street that would be helpfl

I dont have a ZZ4 engine but I put ZZ4 heads and cam on a 350 shortblock in my car. With SLP 1 5/8" headers and a stock ported TPI intake it made 280 HP and 380 TQ to the rear wheels, and ran a best of 13.25 @ 107.18 last year.
This year I put in an LT4 HOT cam, TPIS intake and runners, and SLP 1 3/4" headers, and it made 317 HP and 418 TQ, and the time in my sig (I cant drive).
Oh, I also ported the heads too, they need help and are pretty crappy stock.

Your ZZ4 should have come with MR43LTS plugs
or Marine, Resistor, 43 heat rating, Length, Taper, and something else I think. AC Delco has a pretty good website that explains. I just replaced mine with R44LTS, a little hotter plug and no need for the Marine type. They clear my SLP headers though I have to use a 5/8" wrench on #5 and a short plug socket on a couple others. I have been running a ZZ4TPI combo for about 35K miles. I first had my stock 92 intake machined for the different bolt angle on the heads but since switched to an Edelbrock Hi-Flow which is made to fit both style heads.
