I am looking to buy trans-am gta 89 with l98 and the man who sell the car said to my that the engine has never be rebuilt. There is no smoke, no vibration (maybe a very little sometime) and no strange sound from the engine.

Finally, is it easy to spin tire just with gas pedal when the car is immobile.

p.s. the combo is l98 with dual cat(N10), 700r-4, 3.27 and stock.

My 91 Z with the same combo has 140,000 miles, it's never been rebuilt and runs great. No smoke except from the tires when I get on it. With my latest round of mods and sticky tires, it should get into the 13's. There's a girl on another board that has a TPI 305 with 190,000 miles that runs great and never rebuilt. It really depends on how the car was taken care of.

92 z28 here with 175,000 miles no smoke, blow by,or knocks and it runs 14.20 with no mods

When I go to the gas station I fill with oil AND check the gas......poor thing still runs very good (13.39@102.55)
