Changed IAC still havin idle problems.
OKay well i first changed the IAC ater cleaning it and still i have a very low idle after my car warms up. It seemed to help but still I have the problem. Now im a little confused. Can the tps cause a idle problem also?
One other thing. Could my distributor be messed up as in not keeping a proper timing. IDK exactly how the auto timing mechanism works on the car, but i was curious that it may be going haywire. Maybe the timing chain?
Im so lost with this idle deal because there could be so many things going on.

I belive the computer says idle should be at 700 on these? What are you at?
your tps should be between .50 and .55.
You have base timing, which I dunno what it is for TPI. Then the computer adds some timing to that depending on sensor readings.
A bad chain will cause the idle to bounce around.
If anything in the dizzy is wrong, it would be pickup coil, or ICM. I think both of them would be noticable while driving as well.

Well its just when the car is heated up and at idle. It will drop down to 3-400 rpms which scares me. it almost shuts off. Now it drives great otherwise. I mean my torque converter is bad but engine wise it is goin great

TPI base timing should be 6-8 degrees. Disconnect the test connector (single connector on a single tan wire) by the passenger fender, by the blower relay. Then you can check or set the base timing.
Do you have access to scanning software? Like another local TGO member? That would help a lot to see what the computer sees and does.
If you don't have access to scanning software but have a buddy with the same engine, you can swap the distributor or other parts (coil, TPS, etc) and see if that helps.
