I have a set of runners and the drivers side runner has somthing in it like permatex black sealent in the egr tube on the runners on both ends. Should I clean this out will this hurt performance or do you think this was done for a logical reason.

nevermind the egr tube on that side is not in use.

The passenger side runner has the EGR tube. The driver's side runner is for the cold-start injector, which your 89 GTA doesnt have. Leave it plugged. You'll have a huge vacuum leak if you dont.

thanks man, when I put the plenum togeaher to see it all polished and everything I noticed that there was no were to hook it up at there is no holes in the plenum.
