need speedo sensor hookup?

I'm swapping a 350 into my 89 RS and using a tpi system off a 86 firebird. The wiring harness has the connections for an electric speedometer but my car uses a regular cable drive. Will it hurt if I don't hookup this wire? I have a 145 speedo already swapped in and I don't want to go with an electric one if I don't have to.

You should be able to leave that one blank, just make sure you connect your speedo to the ECM the same way as stock (repinning it as necessary) The 86 computer will use either a speedo VSS or a speedo cable.

I'm not really sure what you mean by the computer hookup. I hooked up the original cable from the trans to the cluster. but my camaro doesn't have any wiring from the trans to the computer except the lockup torque convertor and this plug for the vss.

I'm not sure what you mean by connecting the computer. does it read speed though the dash or something? I have the speedo cable hooked up.
