Car severly down on power.....

I drove my car firday all day and it was running fine, nice and strong.
I didnt drive it all day saturday or sunday. it was raining both of those days. Monday i go to drive it. i start it up and it sounds weird, like kinda muffled. My car is one of the loudest around here so i can really tell when its not sounding like it normally does. I pop the hood and with my hand manually rev the engine. it seems like it took a second after i opened the TB up for the engine to actually rev. today i drove it to work and it still seemed weird. still quiet and down on power. On the way home from work i went from a dead stop manually shifting it and it was really bad. Its shifting normally and everything, but it was just real quiet and real slow. Any ideas whats going on? Im not getting an SES light. My cat is punched so its not clogged up. Any ideas??? Maybe just needs a tune up and an air filter, my filters are pretty sad right now. thanks for the help.

Stupid as this sounds , are you sure someone didnt stuff something way up your tailpipes , like a rag or something?????? Dirty filters will put you down on power slightly but not like you say and it wont muffle the exhaust , take them completely out see what it does and for kicks check your tailpipes

check the tps make sure it's working properly it might give you the correct reading at idle but not wot check that also check the spark plug wires if 6,7,or 8 is craacked or melted it wont stuuter as much as if the number 1 is melted.and then if the engine detonated hard enough the electrode or tip of the plug could have melted happened in my old engine

i got some bad gas once in my 88 LB9 iroc and it did kinda what your describing. it went away after i put some water remover in the tank, drove it around and filled back up with different gas.

I agree, put some water remover in the tank and then run it all out and goto a different station to get gas and see if it makes a difference.
