Strange Phenomenon??????

I have had previous mass air flow problems but I thought I had solved them (no Engine codes anymore/car runs fine) sometimes when its really hot outside and I've been driving all day. My car won't Idle when I try to start it up. It just dies. I have to wait for it to cool down to start it but then it runs fine again. What the hell is going on?

Does your car start up fine, then idle irratically before dying? If so, I could be fuel pump failure. listen to see if your fuel pump cycles on while taking fuel pressure readings from your schrader valve on the fuel rail...I had the same problem a year ago. Hope this helps

Yeah, the first thing I would check would be the fuel pump. They often begin to show signs of death that way. As the pump heats up from pumping, and the fuel recirculating through the rail and back to the tank keeps getting hotter and hotter from engine heat the weak pump finally overheats and gives up.
Check your fuel pressure and see what's up.
