Intake Gaskets???
I just went down to Kragen to pick up an intake gasket set, and I've been looking at it and one thing doesn't really look right. Here's what the instruction booklet says:
The instructions then list engine types and whether or not they have open or restricted center ports. The problem is that the only 350 engines they list are for '78-'86, '77, '76, '75, '74 2BBL, '73, and '69-'72. So, I have a '91 L98 350. Do I have open or restricted center port(s)?
My next issue is the end seal(s). I'm assuming the end seal(s) is /are the flexible plastic black thing that came with the set. The only problem I see is that there's only one in the set I got, and it sounds like I need two, one for each side. What's up with this?? Should there be only one end seal, or two? The instructions don't include a parts list, so there's no way for me to tell from that.

Use manifold gasket(s) with open center port(s) as supplied in this set or with restrictor assemblies in place as noted.</font>

Well after going back down to Kragen, and having them get 4 end seals out of another intake manifold gasket set, I've found, like you two have told me, that I shouldn't use the rubber end seals. In fact when I came home with the new seals, I looked at the parts list for the intake gasket set, and rubber end seals aren't even listed! Only the tube of black RTV is. So because it was already opened, the rubber seal was an extra thing that wasn't supposed to be there. Aye Caramba! Oh well, thanks for your help.
