EGR

What is the EGR? I know it stands for Exhaust Gas Recirculator, but what does it do exactly? Where is it at and can you get rid of it? And how do you get rid of it? I removed all my emissions crap cause we don't have them here in Iowa. Thanks!

Remove the EGR and you'll likely start to have detonation problems. If you don't beilve me, read the Tech Articles at teh front of the site. GM Tech has a good explanation of the EGR effect and its purpose. A properly functioning EGR will actually allow you to make more power, not less.

But pull it if you like, then remove the MIL lamp from the dash since it will begin to annoy you from being turned on all the time...
