Flames out my new headers!!???!?!?!?!
Alright I finally got my car started back up after installing Doug's headers, TPIS afpr, and a ported upper plenum. I don't have the O2 sensor hooked up, but when i rev the car up a little, a flame will come out. Im just makin sure that its doing that because I don't have the O2 sensor hooked up, so its running rich. Thanx, and I will post a thread about the whole install if anyone is curious about the Doug's Headers

hum well im pretty sure that it shouldnt be doing that just because your oxygen sensor is unhooked. The system should be put into a sort of limp in mode, cant think of what gm calls it, but the computer should give you a certain fail safe figure to use and keep the system in open loop. For safety, it should run sort of rich just in case but not rich enough to throw flames.

Are they shortie headers?
When my GTA was stock and had the stock manifolds I was able to get flames upon throttle blips.
I don't see anything now with longtubes.

Hahaha no they are LT headers. My friend told me his LT's do the same. THey are spittin some fire becauseits only headers hooked up right now I guess. I also boosted my fuel pressure to 50psi with my afpr. Im thinkin a rich mixture of gas and a higher psi is the reason behind the flames
