Do you TPI guys find that you have better gas mileage than TBI guys? And I mean similar engines, so I guess this question is only for 305's. I am curious because I am looking into a 5.7 or 5.0 Camaro and want to know what will be more affordable or if it matters, and I'm sure it does, etc. Thanks.

Also, does anyone know if AAA insurance is the same for a 25th anniversary v8 RS as the v6 RS's???

 

My 92 Z28 305TPI 5spd gets similar MPG to my old 89 RS 305TBI auto. The 305TBi got a little better on the freeway.

Things like rear end ratio, state of tune, and such will make a bigger difference but all other things being equall the multi port injected and long runnered TPI should be more efficient.
