What are the benefits of ceramic coating the plenum

im thinking of having my plenum ceramic coated ,i got a good deal on it,what are the benefits if any.

If you coat it on the INSIDE, that will probably give you a small benefit. The air would be able to "glide" better on a smooth coated surface then the porous cast aluminum surface.

Plus if the inside is coated the EGR gasses (If running egr) won't as readily build up on the casting...

I'd get a heat-barrier coating put on first(exterior of plenum) and then a 'finish' on top of that(heat-barrier usually comes in flat-black). Wouldn't hurt to do the same to the runners and base(especially the bottom of the base).
