91 Z fuel pump noise

Just replaced my fuel pump and fuel regulator car ran fine almost like new. 2weeks later a high pitch wine has started to come from the fuel pump area (sounds like some of these new Cheverolet pick-ups/SUVs when your near the fuel pump area while there running). I haven't noticed any change in performance.
Were thinking of trading/saleing the car if we have to dump alot more money in to it, although i'd rather fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what brand pump did you use? did you ditch the pulsator or hook it back up?

The fuel pump that was installed was a Delco (from AutoZone) replacement that was supposed to have the internal pulsator, which matched the original one.
Also would you happen to know what my oil pressure should be at during idle and under acceleration?
thanx for your response
this will keep me from trading it in on a new Beetle.
