Wont stay on

Wassup everyone. I having a bit of a problem here. I recently bought a 89 Formula 5.7 TPI Firebird. I was told originally that it needed a fuel pump. Normally I wouldnt buy a car if it wont start but I got it dirt cheap from a reliable person that my dad has done buisness with for some time. Its a donation vehicle place. Usually I do all my own work with my pops, but since this job is a bit more intricate we decided to let a shop handle it. The car was not starting when I got it. It wouldnt "turn over". So I bought the fuel pump and brought it with the car to them. They changed the fuel pump. Later we discovered the car was getting no spark and we found out the ignition module (I believe thats its name) was bad. We had this changed too. Now the car turns on, but it wont stay on. Turns off Immidiately. So the guy (mechanic) told me it might be the fuel injectors, but he isnt sure yet. Its about 10am Monday morning that I am writting this. I told him I'd give him a call around 1ish. Hes gonna check it over to see if he can find what exactly is causing the car to shut off. A fuel injector set is pretty expensive and Im hoping its not the problem. Does anyone have any idea as to what would cause it to turn off after being turned on? Any insight would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Re: Wont stay on

Disconnect the MAF and see if it starts and stays running.

Is that the mass air flow sensor you are speaking of? Oh yeah and if thats the case, where is it located in the car?

Re: Wont stay on

Yes. It's part of the intake tubing about halfway between your throttle body and air filter. Round hard plastic. The 4-wire connector should be underneath of it.
