hey guys... i have an 85 z28 with the lb9 engine. i was driving it the other day just to let it run for a bit(i live in mn and i havnt drivin it since fall.) i was taking a corner and boom... anti freeze and oil eveywhere.. im not sure where i came out of but i havnt tore anything apart yet. it also smokes ALOT now... any ideas on what it could be... im thinkin head gasket or maybe even the head... what you think :/

 

head gasket i'm sure. Kinda weird tho, sbc's arent prone to it realy. How many miles are on your engine and hard were you beating on it?>

your probably fine as far as the heads go, on iron/block cars you seldomly ever have any warpage as the gasket is much weaker and much more prone to blowing then warping a head or such like you 'd find on grand ams stuff.....

anyways check your oil and antrifreeze, if oil is in antifreeze thats probably your prob, or vise versa that is.

hopefully you didnt drive her to far..... thatd be bad but, ur probably ok they are durable motors.
