MSD Ignition

I posted this in the Southern Ontario Forum, but I figured I would try here too:

I was just taking a look at what MSD has to offer because I was going to pick up a MSD coil this weekend and I was wondering about the ignition boxes. In specific the 6A and 6AL. I think, if I were to get it, the 6A is all I need. The 6AL has an extra rev limiter feature that I'm not sure I want....who has these and what are you recommendations?

You have an Auto trans so there won't be a need for the 6al. The 6al is good to have with the 5-6speeds because of the possibility of over-reving. The 6a that I have had on my past IROCs have all worked great NA or with NOS. The MSD coil is as good or better than the other remote coils that I have used in the past.

whiteroc: Thanks...that's exactly what I though about the 6AL, it didn't seem like a necessary upgrade from the 6A for my application, but I thought I would ask.

Based on what I've seen on MSD's website, the installation looks fairly straight forward. Any comments on that? Looks like pretty much a straight plug in.
