What do you guys think of the Accel 24# fuel injectors??

Summit has universal 24# Accel fuel injectors (Part No. ACC-150824) for $229.95. I want to replace all 8 of my injectors. Will my motor benefit from these injectors? Mods are in sig. Anything else I need to buy/do before installation? They will fit, right? How good of injectors are they? Why are they so incredibly cheap compared to other injectors? ANY help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Anyone have any experience with these injectors? I'm asking mainly because they are half the price of the Holleys and I was wondering how the quality is. Thanks.

I wish i could tell you how those injectors work but I never got mine. I dont know what is going on with accel but I ordered them in november of 2000 and they told me that they were back ordered or something until the end of feb 2001. SO I went with the ford motorsports injectors #24 in summit. THey are $30 cheaper than the accel ones and so far they work great.
SUMMIT RACING PN FMS-M9593A302 $209.95
Best theory I have heard about the low price of accel injectors is that they are not rebuilding BOSCH injectors like the other companies. Dont know how much truth there is to that but it sounded good at the time.

I got mine through Rich at cruzinperformance.com, and I installed tham along with an Accel Superram and LTR's. After a week of having them in, I noticed that the engine was idling rough. I thought I had a bad plug or wire, but those both checked out OK. After sticking a long screwdriver (The cheapo mechanics stethoscope ) on all the injectors, I heard one that wasn't ticking like it should. Luckily, I was at the Matco
Supernationals in E-town at the time, and the guys at the Accel trailer checked it out for me. It was clogged with something, and after pulling the screen out, they put the injector on one of the ultrasonic cleaning machines. 20 minutes later and it was fine.
The thing that worries me is that I have had the stock injectors on there for the last 11 years, and I have never heard one clogging up like that. Maybe it was a fluke, but I still am going to take my original injectors and send them to Rich to get cleaned and flow tested, and then stick them back in.
The car used to idle fine with the stock intake and runners in there, but since I changed them out plus the injectors, I have had to mess with the stall saver and other parameters in the chip to get even a halfway decent idle. I don't know what combo cause this, but I figure if I swap the injectors back out, I can narrow it down...

In short, the jury is still out

I gave up waiting for the Accels and bought the 24# SVO's instead...same price. Everyone I know who running the SVOs is happy with them, and a lot of people use them. They're slightly shorter than the OEM injectors, but as long as you don't have fixed fuel rails you should be OK using them...
