NO code

I have a ses light, but when I go to pull the code ,the scanner reads no , but the ses still comes on. ?????????????

do you by chance have an electric speedometer,if and its not working it will throw an ses light,later jimmy

My speedo is cable. I was told that sometimes if u have a chip burned that u sant get any codes.
