SSGTA,
The MAF Diagnostic Trouble Code should have been a 34, and possibly a 36. The ECM will retain error codes (DTCs) for the last 50 engine starts. It will probably remain in memory for about two weeks. You can wait or you can clear the code (and all ECM RAM) by disconnecting the EM powewr for about five minutes. That should be long enough to clean the battery cables/terminals. Once you restart, the engine will warm up and the ECM will begin writing new data tables based on your inputs and driving conditions. Drive the car normally for about twenty minutes under varying conditions from idle to crusing speed to "reteach" the ECM. You don't have to drive the car for twenty minutes, but the next time you operate the car the data table will continue to be loaded with the new data.
If you ever make any significant changes or modifications, it's a good idea to reinitialize the ECM in this manner to keep the best fuel/spark curves for your configuration.
