What color is the smoke? If it is black that normally means that you are running rich. If it is white, and goes away then that is normal.

It might be leaky injectors, they could cause that. Run some Fuel System cleaner when you fill your tank for a few tank fulls, see if it goes away.
It may or may NOT work, it depends on how they are leaking. If they are leaking from wear, then you might be sunk, But if you have some enamal buildup or something causing the injector from not closing all the way then it might clear it up.

Just a thought

Before you go replacing parts, run a scan with a quality scanner that reads sensor values. If the Coolant Temp Sensor is bad, the car will run rich when cold.

Why spend hundreds of dollars when a $6 part could be the culprit?

Good luck.

Well It doesn't happen for more than 3-5 seconds, I mean RIGHT when it starts up i can see in my mirrors the black smoke, but its gone as soon as it comes up to idle. Its been going on for a while, so I dont really want to spend ANY money

I figure it can live or it will be simple to fix. Thanks
