how to install roller camshaft?
how to install roller camshaft?
Do I need to remove the spider and all the roller lifters? or is there an easier way.
Since it is a roller camshaft, is using engine oil good enough lube or do I still need regular camshaft break-in lube? The engine will go in in 1~2 weeks.
How exactly does that spider thing work? It looks like it just holds down the <><> bracket but also allows for it to be bumped once in a while. It also looks pretty week.

Yes, you have to take out the spider and all the link bars and lifters. The spider isnt really weak, it just holds the bars down against the lifter valley, not much of a job.
Oil will probably run off in a couple weeks time, so if you arent going to prime the engine first before you fire it up (which I would suggest) then you may want to use a little lube on the cam.
