Order a pair of hood struts for a 1982 Cross-Fire Injected Z28. This car came with the factory "plastic" (as GM refers to it as) hood.

Part number 14045326

I just got a pair of these and they work perfectly with my fiberglass hood. Kind of expensive though.

(Shouldn't this be in Body/Interior?)

If your's hold your metal hood up, I'd trade ya for them? I have a set that won't keep a metal hood up, but seem to have good life in them.

Yeah I got a pair too, they're yours if you want them. Replacements hood shocks on steel hoods don't last worth **** . I got my last set @ the dealer, and they're still going strong! Let me know man, I'll just give them to you cuz they're useless to me!
