Fan relay? (Vader, someone, anyone?)

Ive managed to get around this little problem by installing a fan switch...BUT:

WHERE in the nine hells is the relay that turns the fan on?
If I leave the switch off, the temp shoots on up and overheats.
And despite the 5 people who've gone looking, noone can figure out why or where the thing is.
Help!
Thanks in advance

What year?

Mine is on the radiator core support... passenger side IIRC, hidden by the air intake lid. I think on later models it was moved to the mess of relays up by the brake booster on the firewall.

On my 87 and 89 firebirds the relay was the one closes to the fender, on the firewall. Looked exactly like the fuel pump relay. The FPR was right beside the fan relay.
