Performance TPI 350 bottom end?
Performance TPI 350 bottom end?
first off i need to make up my mind, 350 or 383...
Its going to be a daily driver so lets assume 350. Now since TPI doesn't rev for ****, is my money better spent on the upper end? I mean if im not reving like a carbed engine do i need a bullet proof bottom end?
10:1 compression, siameesed runners, ported plenum, bigger TB, and edlebrock base with SD headers etc should I make over 350 hp?

BULL S.H.I.T. look at my sig my engine gave me crap as far as hp in the upper rpm until today it was all in the chip i've been using crap proms for 2 years i feel i got it nailed with an ed wright chip my crate motor's maximum speed is 5800rpm's it never used to pull past 4800 with power now this thing runs strong right through that till 5800 andd it seems there's more but i don't want to push the stock springs,lifters,andd pushrods yet once i siamese the slp runners it should easily rev to 6000 without a major loss of low speed tourqe.i would go with a 383 though all things being the same the engine with more cu.in. will make more power go with a 383 ltr designed motor build on the tourqe and try to harness it.look at iit this way(when racing)the other guy may have hp,make him catch you....(hp=tqxrpm)

You should be OK with the stock bottom end.
As long as you don't have bad detonation and it runs good it will stay together.
Traxion is running low 12s on his STOCK bottem end and I'm sure there is some major high revving on it with that miniram.
Unless you plan to throw alot of boost at it later on with high revs, spend your money on the top end.
