TPI rpm range?

on a stock 1988 I-Roc, with a stock TPI. where can I find out the working RPM range for torque and HP? so I will know what cam to go with. I want to leave the stock look, but want to hope it up.

you will have a flat torque curve that will only vary about 20 ft lbs from 2k rpms to about 4k rpms. Peek hp will be around 4,000 to 4,500 rpms depending if you have a 305 or 350 car and if 305 which cam puny on the autos or bigger on the manuals.

search for a dyno sheet on a stock car will be easy to locate under the search feature but, u get the idea.

basically if your keeping a stock tpi don't get a cam that peeks any higher than 5200 or so imo.

i have a 305 5 spd car which cam is like 207 duration and .415 intake lift/.430 exhaust lift.

i went with a crane cams 2032 compu cam grind it's 214/220 duration and .452/.465 lift at the rockers, basically as big as you can get on stock heads and stay computer friendly. + it's about is good as close as it gets to a purpose built nitrus cam without paying 4 1.

thanks that I will do, and yes I have a 305 now but have a 350 lying in floor. plus the nos set up.
