FUEL LINES

Anybody know where I can get the rubber fuel line hose assemblies made at fotr TPI. There the ones that seperate the engine from the rest of the fuel line to tank. GM discontinued them and I can't find anybody with the correct fittings in the Des Moines area.

I had a similiar problem with my Vette fuel lines, albeit not the front ones, but the restof the lines to the back of the engine to the tank.
Nobody made them.GM discontinued them as well.GM also discontinued the front lines for the vette as well.
So some of us vette guys were buying them used.

I chose to get braided lines and installed them myself and replumbed the fuel system.
Lingenfelter sells the adaptor kits to attach braided hoses with AN fittings to the TPI fuel rails or to the fuel filter, return line Unions and etc.
AN to saginaw type fittings theyre called.

Summit racing also sells black elastomer fuel hoses made by Earls that you can also get fittings for and make your own lines for the front albeit you need to get the kit to attach them to the TPI unit and etc as I mentioned.

Another option is to look in the phone book or yellow pages and find a shop that specializes in making hydraulic and A/C type hoses...bring them your old lines and have them install new rubber ones pressed in for you.
Its must be a fluorolastomer type and meet the GM specs...a helms manual will tell you the kind thats needed.

Or maybe a junk yard has them...but its a tough search to find them in good shape.
They get dry rotted from sitting for a long time in the salvage yards.

Good Luck and maybe someone here knows a source already.
