I want to build a TPI 400 and need ideas

I want to build a TPI 400sb chev into my S10 and ive been told by everyone on the internet to post to U guys cause you know all see all and hear all or something to that extent. At any rate i would defenetly have the block prepared not just thrown in. I was also looking at maybe some Fast Burn heads unless 64cc head is to small for a 400. I was also wondering if a LT4 hot cam kit would work in a 400?? I have some ideas of what i want to do but are not to sure if they are legitable or not i thinks thats maybe more of what im asking.

We are currently building a small 406 for a Camaro. It is a 40 over 400 running a 234 / 243 @.050 - 510 525 lift roller cam. It should be around 10.0 compression with Dart Heads (Cast Iron). The intake will be a SuperRam with 30 lbs injectors and a Haltech
doing the computer duties. The heads should be matched with the pistons and cam for the performance level you want.

Engine: 5.7L V8
Transmission: 700R4
Make sure you get a speed density (SD) setup from a 90-92 rather than MAF from an 85-89.

You will have to burn a custom prom for the 400. Check the DIY PROM board for more info... but don't ask for someone to do it for you.

Search the archives for people with 383's or 400's with TPI because they have probably run into the same problems that you will.

Good luck!
