I need a pic of a 90-92 engine bay please
I was hoping someone had a pic of the front of the engine bay right underneath the front of the hood. I'm looking to instal that air box into my '88 camaro, but my car doesn't have provisions for it. mine has a solid plasice piece that goes around the hook lock, do the later ones have a hole cut for the the air box? thanks.
BTW the part I'm talking about is #15 on the 1991 "collision parts" on the new illustration catalog.

it's the same for all TPI Camaros from 85 - 92.
The air box is in two parts, and upper and lower. It sells new for like $400. Go to the junkyard.

You remove the cover around your hood latch, and install the lower TPI intake, then put the upper TPI intake on top of that and install the rubber boot. 85-89 upper intakes are different from 90-92 because of the MAF sensor fitting. But the lower part should be the same. The rubber boot is different too.
I have pics of the unit complete in my car but not opened up. What exactly do you want?

Thanks guys I got it figured out. I didn't know that the bottom part of the air box took the place of that plastic cover. It's all in now with brand new K&N filters
