Anyone think that it is worth doing a cold air setup over the stock IROC setup?
Does it help at all in the upper rpm range?

I'm sure it worth it.I've been trying to find a way to go around the over the radiator snorkeling ,for I am not to thrill with measurements of 2x5x2 to feed my motor the air it needs.I have removed every thing in it's path to creat a ram air system ,but still have the limitation of the 2x5x2.

what i plan on doing (which i saw on an 79 malibu tpi) is go to the auto parts store and get two pieces of 4" exhaust tubing bent at 90* cut the fisrt one short on one side to head toward the battery tray and cut the other one to fit down through the battery tray....line them up and weld them together, then make a small angled bolt flange to mount it in at battery tray and connect it to the throttle body with a piect of 4" radiator hose ( i think it is rad hose)
and slap a filter on the other end under the battery tray.
my battery is in the trunk area so it makes it that much easier for me, also i couldnt use stock setup if i wanted to cuz the power steering/overflow tanks goes where stock air filter went you could run it to the drivers side too if you wanted, and this will work with mass air too, just more complicated. when it is done i am going to have it chromed so it looks apealing. any questions about my idea just ask.
