Just reading your response on "How short are your runners". In your response you said that you siameased your stock runners.
Could I ask you to describe what you did to them? I am considering doing that to my stock runners, but the material is *very* thin.
Mark.

Yup.
Cut the inside of each pair or runner tubes out with a die grinder, then (after getting out the dings)I used some very light guage aluminum and welded the aluminum over the pair or tubes. The outside ones were OK, the insides were a pain. You have to do alittle smoothing inside the pair of runners where they go into the manifold so you don't get alot of turbulence. Worked fine! Lost alittle low end, but gained alot of high-end and the powerband is alot flatter. I am still going with SLP's, but I'll keep these as a cheap low-buck stock replacement.
You need to make sure there are no vacuum leaks, and have to be *very* careful not to get the material too hot and burn through. Came very close a couple times. I posted in a thread a few months back about this, but nobody showed no interest. Sorta like my ABS swap. I now have 4thgen 12" front brakes, and the only problem with my ABS swap is fitting the front VSS's. I should have that solved soon. I'm always looking at how I can modernize a 3rdgen for cheap. Anyway, if there's enough interest, I may make a tech article out of it. Thanks for the interest in the runners!

By the way, I wouldn't recommend cutting up your stock runners until a tech article or something comes out. It can be hard to describe what and where to cut, and they're easy to mess up. If I ever get a digital camera, I'll be sure to take some pics.
