Sweet!! I hope it runs as well as it looks. Now how come you've never made some of the local events at camaroz28.com? I'd love to see that in person, and it would be nice if another thirdgen would show up. Good luck...

Raven, what is that air box/filter off of that you are running. I have been looking for something like that for a while now to work with my Ram Air hood.

The car has the SunCoast ram air hood on it and I got the optional Functional ram air.

That is the kit they supplied with the hood.

I do not think the MAF would fit in there with the TPI.. or it may be a very close fit.

And let me know when you want to get together, I am always ready to meet new people, especially thirdgen owners...

I've never seen anything like that before. Is that like a SD setup, since there is no MAF? Who makes that?

I know that this may be a dumb question but what type of intake is that? I have seen one of those before but I have no idea what it is and who makes it? BTW it looks sweet I like the looks of it.

The intake is a weiand stealth intake, the 90 degree elbow is a Lignefelter, and the throttle body is aa 58mm BBK.

Yes, it does have the MAF setup. Harder to install and the fit isn't perfect yet, butit runs...

To give you guys some figures...

All I changed from last year was I went from 1 5/8 headers to 1 3/4, deleted the cats, and added a custom chip. I also removed the TPI and installed this monstrosity...

Last years times were 1.88 60' and 14.3 @ 97 mph. 65 degrees and barely any humidity.

This year was 1.90 60' and 13.4 @ 100 mph. with temps at 98 degrees and 100% humidity.

All other cars were running on the average of .3 seconds slower because of weather conditions. So this would put me at a 13.1 on a good day.

Not bad for an intake and exhuast upgrade....

Coolant temp sensor is in front of the intake straight out of the coolant passages. Ican take a pic if you would like to see it.

If I remember right, the intake is 3" or 5" taller than the stock intake. I have the suncoast ram air hood which I had to cut the underneath of it to get it to work.

I am using a stock computer and a custom Performance Resource chip.

And the cam is the SLP 224/230 dur,502/510 lift cam and I have sportsman II heads.

The plans over the fall and winter is to goto AFR heads and a little bit bigger cam.

230/234 dur and 525/525 lift ?????

Plus maybe a a supercharger next spring.

No, that intake comes pre-setup for running fuel injectors.

I also bought the fuel rail kit that goes with the intake so I didn't have to screw around with that either.

I can try and take some pictures tonight if I can borrow the digital camera from work.
