Fuel regulator noise

My fuel regulator is making a ticking sound. Its the stock one for the 305 that was replaced with a 350, prom, and 24lb injectors. Do I need a adjustable regulator?
Thanks for your help.

Dude, I think you are hearing your injectors..The fuel regulator should NOT be ticking. Is it doing anything screwy? Like are you not able to adjust pressure?

The injectors arent making any noise. I'm know its the regulator, not only can I hear the noise from it with a stethoscope, I can feel it with my hand on it. ITs stock original, not adjustable.

I'd just go ahead and put an AFPR on there and port the plenum while you have it off. It's a good mod for a 350. I don't know what else to tell you man..

You might be feeling the fuel pulses from the pump at the regulator, or from the injectors, but the FPR will not pulse. Inside is a diaphragm and a spring. The diaphragm is pulled back by vacuum pressure. That's it. Nice and simple. Pulses in the fuel line could manifest as a ticking as the diaphragm bounces against its seat.
