I am about to get my hands on a set of SLP runners. When i put them on i am going to port the plenum and base, and add a FPR. Is there anything else i can do.. am i getting close to needed a new prom? How fexible is a MAF equipped car?

Maf is very flexable

You wont need a new prom for Intake mods like that, when you NEED a prom is when you do heads/Cam. You could still run stock prom with an ADJ/FPR though. On a maf car a custom prom is really just to maximise your mods, but your car will run fine on the stock one, im doing it.
