Fuel Problem
Hey all -
My car has been running poorly lately - as if it's not running on all 8 cylinders. I have a 92 GTA L98 with ford blue top svo 24# injectors that were recently serviced by cruzin performance. I know all the injectors to be good.
I started removing the electrical harness from the top of the injectors 1 by 1 and noticed no change in motor sound on both injector 6 & 8. I know these two injectors are being fired together, and if I know the injectors are good, that leaves me with what? ECU/computer and wiring to the computer?
What are some tests I can do to narrow this down? Any voltage or resistance I can measure across the electrical harnesses for those two injectors?

Re: Fuel Problem
That's really not a good way to test them. At idle it's hard to tell and it may be bad plug wires or fouled plugs not firing (so it doesn't matter if there is fuel in the cylinder or not). I'd suspect the injectors last and the ignition system first.

Re: Fuel Problem
its not that bad to pull the power from the injectors when the car is running.
The thing you should do is measure the resistence (ohm) on the injectors and see if they al match up, the shall be around 14.4 to maybe 16ohm each...
measure them cold and hot...
write down all the numbers here...
check sparkplugs, wires and all that to..

Re: Fuel Problem
By the injectors being good, I meant I've ohm tested them and they're all fine. They were even serviced like I said and they're all within +/- 5% flow rate of eachother.
Plugs & wires are also known good, tested fine. A buddy of mine suggested hooking up a timing light to the injector electrical harnesses to see if they're getting a pulse.
