why is my plenum resting on the AFPR

Do you guys have this problem? When I put my intake back together the plemun is resing on the AFPR. I've tried 2 different ones (BBK & Holley) and they both are too tall. Do I need to take out that metal spacer ring in between the diaphram? Anyadvice would be great because as it stands now, I have to take off the intake to chenge the fuel pressure. Thanks

Jim

Oh BTW, If you're buying a AFPR get the Holley . The quality is so much better then the crappy BBK piece. I just wish I had figured this out before I spent 60 bucks for the BBK one

I have the Crane AFPR. It is kinda of tight under the plenum, but there is still enough room to make adjustments.

Can you grind a little off the bottom of the plenum to give you some room to adjust the pressure?

I could but that would require taking of the plenum again. Is there enough meat there to grind away like 1/8-1/4"? I think thats about what I would need to make it function properly. I will probably do that if I have to adjust it again. Thanks sparks.

Anyone else?

Turn the screw all the way in and you won't have the problem anymore

on my afpr i cut a peice of allen wrench and stuck it in the hole with a tad bit of epoxy so it wouldnt come out. and then it makes it easier to reach in there witha small open end wrench to adjust it.

i dont have that problem anymore with super ram!

It's not that I can't reach the **** to turn it, the porblem is it's wedged under the back of the plenum and won't turn

One other thing, it could it be the combination of aftermarket TPI parts? I have the AS&M SSLTR and a TPIS base. could that cahnge the height of the fuel rail or lower the plenum? What about the spacers TPIS tells you to put on the fuel rail bolts? are those compleately nessacery? Now that I think about it that might be my problem. they add like an 1/8 to the height of the fuel rails. Thanks and sorry for the book.
