Dart Iron Eagles

Are the Dart Iron eagle heads any good if you can get a good price on them? They are 200cc with 2.02 and 1.60 valves. I have a 355 with a ported plenum, 52mm T-body, SLP runners, Accel base, 22# Accel injectors, a .510 lift Comp roller cam, 1 5/8 headers with 2.5 true duals with a 2004-R tranny and a 2600 stall converter. Just curious if they arent bad if the price is right. Any responses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Too much head for a TPI motor, IMO.

I have 180cc Eagles, and am quite happy,... so far. Mind ya, the engine is still fairly mild(stock TB and cam, with slp runners and accel base). On your engine, the 200cc ports would probably be a better match. Racesearch.com has them for $299/head(bare), but I'm told WorldDiscountParts has them cheaper.

At any rate, whichever size you choose, there is plenty of room for porting thanks to relocated water-jackets. Like all heads designed for wet-flow sytems, the E/I ratio is a bit weak. So if you're going to have them worked over, I'd concentrate on the exhaust side.

Good Luck!

Great heads, but you will need 1 3/4 headers to go with the 200 int. runners and the 1.60 ex. remember an engine is a air pump.
