hot start problem.

Ok, my car starts perfectly when it hasn't been driven for that day. It starts almost imediatly, but once it has warmed up, it takes like 3 seconds or longer to start, and then it kinda idles REALLY low for a sec then jumps up. like 200 then jumps to normal. why does it start perfectly when its cold but not when the engine is hot?

Hook up a fuel pressure gauge to the schraeder valve on the fuel rail and turn the ignition key to "ON" and listen for the fuel pump priming. Check the pressure reading and see if it drops to zero within an hour or so. If it does in this time frame, go through the diagnostic procedure in the service manual for isolating the leakdown culprit (e.g. - pressure regulator, pump check valve, injectors). Hope this helps.

Check your timing too. Mine did that too, it was the starter (weak).
