backspacing for 15x10 rim?
I've got 15 by 8 welds on the back of my 91, I used a 5.5" backspacing and run BFG 295/50/15. I had to hammer on the inner fenderwell some to get the tire to fit, so I dont think you will be able to use more then 5.5".
15 by 8 wheels center the tires just right in the fenderwell - they dont stick out!

I have a 88 camaro with 15x10 pro-stars. They have 5.5 inches of back spacing with 275/50-15 hoosiers. My wheel wells where already hammered slightly but now I have over an inch of clearence on the inside and they sit flush with the lips on the outside. I still spin in first gear even on the track.
