hooked up the scanner

Hey guys, I hooked up my buddies scanner to the lap top and for some reason under part>>wide open throttle I recall it showing up to 80% knock retard!! whats up with that!?!?!? At the time it was a friends car and now I own it. I dont have the scanner now, but I was just curious after reading some of these recent posts. I don't hear any knocking AT ALL but I'll check the timing later today and see. I just wanted some suggestions, input, etc. Can this be possible!?!?!?

The know sensor in your car picks up sounds that you ear can't even hear. When it picks up these sounds it retards the timing to keep it from knocking so yes this is possible so check your timing. Stock is 6 degrees initial and 35-38 total timing is what you want to be at.
